Founded in 1834, Wake Forest University is a private university located in Winston-Salem, N.C. We are a vibrant and diverse academic community where our students study in one or more of the 42 majors and program we offer within our six colleges and schools.Wake Forest will continue to award scholarships outside the Presidential Scholarship program to students with special talents in community service, entrepreneurship, leadership, and writing for publication, though no form beyond the Admission application is required for consideration in these areas.
